This versatile left-sided player represented Yugoslavia in 1990 and subsequently picked up 81 caps for Croatia, whom he represented in the World Cup 1998 and 2002. After retiring, he played futsal, representing Croatia in their World Cup qualifying games. He is best remembered for being an integral part of the Croatian team that shocked France '98 by finishing 3rd, and also for scoring this goal (his only one in international football) to set Croatia on their way to a 3-0 win over Germany. 17
